Apartments Bogović is a house with a view of the sea. It is located in one hundred years old pine wood. The distance from the sea and beach is only 60 m. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the south side of the island Hvar. The crystal clear sea and beautiful Mediterranean vegetation describe a special atmosphere to all nature lovers.
Already upon arrival to the south side of the island Hvar a special experience is announced. After coming out of a tunnel the beautiful view opens on the Central Dalmatian islands Šćedro, Korčula, Vis, Sušac, and peninsula Pelješac.

Whole house is surrounded by Mediterranean plants: sage, rosemary, lavender...In the garden there are those trees: lemon, pomegranate, orange, figs, medlar, vine, and the two palm trees after which the villa got its name. Grill is located on the other terrace and provides a place for barbecuing fish and meet.
The guests usually visit Zavala during the summer; July and August. Very pleasurable months are June and September when there are only a few people here and the sea, as well as air, are in perfect harmony at around 25 C. You can go swimming and take long walks near the sea.

Highlights
If you like it, after swimming there is an outdoor shower with warm water during the entire summer. You can shower in the yard with a view of oleander and aster. In front of the kitchen, there is a roofed terrace where people usually lunch, with a size of 15 square meters. The other terrace is 25 square meters large and it is used for sunbathing and for children to play on. The apartment has one garage to park a car in.

Apartment A1 (4+0) have a built-in air-conditioner in each bedroom. The rooms are well-equipped: the first room has a double bed and the other room two single beds. In each room, there is a TV-SAT and Wi-FI in the whole house. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and the oven, fridge with freezer and all the cutlery. In the bathroom, there is a sink, WC, and a bathtub with a shower. In front of the kitchen is a covered terrace of 15 m2 and is used for dining and sitting. The second terrace of 25 m2 is used for afternoon rest and children's play.

About Zavala
Zavala is a small fishing and tourist place located on the south side of the island of Hvar bathed in the sun in Dalmatia, Croatia. It is only 35 km from the town of Hvar and 7 km from the town of Jelsa. On the slopes above the place at the foot of the highest peaks of Hvar, there are numerous vineyards where the best Hvar wines are made. The slopes plummet steeply towards the sea, forming dolce, bonds and rota ending in beautiful pebble beaches. The whole place is surrounded by the scents of lavender and rosemary, as well as ancient olive groves and the crystal clear Adriatic Sea, which makes it an ideal destination for lovers of nature, silence and peaceful family vacation.

Your host owns a boat and invites you to go fishing by a system called panula. You can also go diving or squid fishing with him.
The Hvar island has been inhabited since ancient times. The first findings from this area are the remains of the Hvar culture (3500 - 2500 B.C.) from the Neolithic founds in the Grabčeva and Markova špilja (cave).
In the 4th century B.C. Greeks came to the island and grounded the Pharos settlement in the area of today's Stari Grad.
Hvar was important in the Roman times and later as well. Nowadays, the remains of ancient cultures can be found all over the island, in towns and in the middle of fields. Stone fences have been there for thousands of years. Starogradsko polje with ancient stone walls is under protection of UNESCO.
Zavala is one of the places on the south coast of the Hvar island, which is well known for its special microclimate. It almost never rains here in the summer, yet it is not too hot due to the pleasant light wind. There is no mass tourism here; because of the tunnel no buses and big vehicles can reach Zavala.

Location & Distances
On the island Hvar You can come the easiest way by ferry Split-Starigrad or Drvenik-Sućuraj. The company that owns ferries is called Jadrolinija, so Google it for the timetable.
After you get on the island Hvar, drive to Jelsa and then turn for Pitve, a small village in the center of the island. After Pitve drive for Zavala through the tunnel. When You get to Zavala, turn a sharp right after the first houses. After that comes the sign for "Skalinada". It is a restaurant and a small hotel.
